The Harmony’s Cry…

The Harmony’s Cry, A Plea for Children in the Shadows of War

NOTE: This poem was composed and is dedicated to all the young children in the world on World Children’s Day (20th November 2023), especially those in war torn countries who really need a lot of care and mental help.

In a world where innocence should reign,
On this Children’s Day, we feel the pain.
Tiny hearts, burdened by strife,
In war-torn lands, the struggle for life.

Oh, the children of Palestine and Israel,
Caught in a conflict, where shadows dwell.
Their laughter silenced, replaced by fear,
Innocence lost, as war draws near.

Little ones, with dreams untold,
Amidst the chaos, their stories unfold.
Bearing the weight of a grown-up fight,
Yearning for peace, in the darkest night.

International bodies, hear our plea,
Extend your hands, set the children free.
For in the rubble and echoes of despair,
Lies the call for help, a collective prayer.

UNESCO, UNICEF, stand strong and true,
Champion the cause, for the red, white, and blue.
In the name of childhood, let’s unite,
Break the chains, bring forth the light.

Education, love, and hope they seek,
Not the haunting sounds of missiles that shriek.
Let the pen be mightier than the sword,
Script a future where their dreams are stored.

On this Children’s Day, let’s all agree,
To build a world where all children are free.
In the echoes of laughter, let hatred cease,
Replace it with love, let the world find peace.

Urgent is the call, a plea from the heart,
To heal the wounds, for every child, play your part.
For in their eyes, our shared tomorrow,
Let’s sow seeds of love, let them not know sorrow.

The Colors of Hope

The Colors of Hope for LGBTIQ+ Souls in Africa.

Amidst the trials and shadows’ shroud,
Where hues of hope begin to crowd,
In Africa’s embrace, where pain does sear,
LGBTIQ+ souls, do not fear.

In silence, in strife, they brave the night,
Seeking refuge, a glimmering light,
‘Midst doubts and struggles, they endure,
Their spirit strong, their courage pure.

For love in colors, they face disdain,
Yet within, a resilience remains,
Their dignity, their rights to be,
In a world where they’re truly free.

Hold tight, dear souls, through stormy seas,
Your existence a beacon, breaking free,
In unity, your strength prevails,
Your stories, your truth, a timeless tale.

Each step you take, each breath you draw,
A testament to your resilience raw,
Within your hearts, a flame aglow,
Embracing hope, letting it grow.

Your journey’s tough, your path unclear,
But hope’s whisper, do stop and hear,
For in the darkest of the night,
Stars emerge, a guiding light.

Your worth is vast, your voices strong,
In unity, you truly belong,
Rise, shine bright, don’t yield, don’t flee,
For a world that’s just, and one that’s free.

Though shadows loom and doubts may reign,
Your unity, your love sustain,
In solidarity, you’ll find your way,
To brighter, bolder, sunlit days.

So hold on tight, stand tall and true,
Your courage, your strength, a stunning view,
For in your hearts, a chorus sings,
Of hope, resilience, and colorful wings.

The Echoes of Struggle

The Echoes of Struggle and Hope for LGBTIQ+ Refugees
and the Middle East Conflict.

In shadows deep, where hope seems lost,
Lie stories untold, a heavy cost,
Where souls in plight, with courage tread,
In lands torn by strife, by fear they’re led.

In Africa’s embrace, where hues alight,
LGBTIQ+ souls, in silence fight,
Seeking refuge, a shelter to find,
‘Midst trials of hearts, a plight confined.

For love in colors, they face disdain,
A world unkind, they strive to regain
Their dignity, their rights to be,
In a home where they can be free.

And in the Middle East, a conflict’s roar,
Israel and Palestine, history’s score,
A battleground etched with tears and cries,
Where dreams dissolve ‘neath sorrow’s skies.

In Gaza’s streets, and Jerusalem’s call,
Lives torn apart, hopes rise and fall,
Families fractured, futures in doubt,
Echoes of despair, within and without.

Both places, diverse, in struggle they bind,
Yearning for peace, the tranquil find,
Aching for solace, a haven’s embrace,
Yearning for harmony, a gentle grace.

Yet in the midst of trials, courage thrives,
Resilient souls, in hope, revive,
Seeking a world where differences blend,
Where love and acceptance transcend.

May empathy bridge the rifts, unite hearts,
Kindness as balm, where healing starts,
A world where all, despite creed or name,
Find solace and peace, their spirits reclaim.

Let us stand, voices raised as one,
For those in shadows, their tales undone,
May compassion guide, may love’s light shine,
For LGBTIQ+ refugees and a land’s divide to intertwine.
